〜訪日観光客と、薬剤師や医療スタッフとの言語の壁をなくすコミュニケーションを実現〜

株式会社ブイキューブ（本社：東京都目黒区、代表取締役社長：間下直晃、以下ブイキューブ）とパイオニアVC株式会社（本社：東京都目黒区、代表取締役社長：原清、以下パイオニアVC）は、多言語通訳サービス「V-CUBE トランスレーター」のサービス対応分野を追加いたします。これまで提供してまいりました一般通訳、手話通訳に、医療シンクタンク一般社団法人ジェイ・アイ・ジー・エイチ（本部：東京都港区、代表理事：渋谷健司、以下JIGH）が提供する医療通訳サービス「mediPhone（メディフォン）」のスタッフによる、医療通訳（英語・中国語、韓国語（※1））を、2016年3月より新たに追加いたします。一般通訳サービスでは対応ができなかった病状や医薬品の説明など、難しい専門用語の多い医療分野でも遠隔から通訳を行うことが可能となります。これにより、訪日観光客の多いドラッグストアや緊急時に訪れる医療機関などで、訪日観光客と、薬剤師や医療スタッフ間との言葉の壁をなくすコミュニケーションを実現します。また、在留外国人の多い地域においては、自治体の公的窓口において、平常時の医療制度の案内や手続き、また、災害等の緊急時における医療支援でもご利用いただけます。

■「V-CUBE トランスレーター」とは  
「V-CUBEトランスレーター」は、インターネット回線を使い、世界中どこからでも通訳オペレーターと接続することができる映像通訳サービスです。8言語（英語/中国語/韓国語/スペイン語/ポルトガル語/タイ語/ロシア語/手話（日本））に対応し、24時間365日（※2）利用できます。パイオニアVCの技術を利用した高品質な音声でオペレーターの顔が見えるリアルタイム通訳のため、安心感があり、顧客満足度があがります。PCの画面共有による地図や観光ガイドなど資料を利用したコミュニケーションも可能で、国内外での様々なシーンで活用いただけます。

(※2) 英語、中国語、韓国語、ポルトガル語、スペイン語、医療通訳（英語、中国語、韓国語）は、24時間365日。  
タイ語/ロシア語は日本時間平日9：00～18：00。  
手話（日本）/文字通訳サービスは日本時間8：00～21：00。

■JIGHの提供する医療通訳プラットフォームmediPhone（メディフォン）とは  
全国80以上の医療機関で導入実績のある医療専門の遠隔医療通訳サービスです。元医療従事者など、医療に専門性を有する医療通訳者のみで通訳者チームを構成し、電話やビデオを介してサービス提供を行うことで、遠隔地からでも必要なときにすぐ質の高い医療通訳にアクセスできる仕組みを実現しています。

ブイキューブとパイオニアVCは、今後もお客さまのニーズを取り入れながら、「V-CUBE トランスレーター」の対応言語やサービス提供範囲を拡充してまいります。今回の拡張にともない、医療通訳での対応が可能となることから、医療ツーリズム分野において企業が提供する訪日外国人へのサービスの一環としての利用促進も目指してまいります。また、日本人の海外旅行や海外出張などアウトバウンドの市場でも利用いただけるよう、海外旅行保険サービスとの連携などの検討を進めてまいります。
